CW Suter Services is looking for a Mechanical Draftsman/Designer to join our 100% employee owned HVAC and Plumbing business! They will collaborate with our mechanical engineer and project managers to create detailed mechanical drawings for a variety of projects. This role involves using CAD software (AutoCAD & Revit) to transform concepts and designs into clear, precise drawings that align with industry standards and client specifications.

Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare Detailed Drawings: Develop accurate technical drawings, plans, and blueprints based on engineering designs and specifications.
- CAD Design: Use computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD and Revit, to produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings.
- Collaboration with Engineering: Work closely with our in-house mechanical engineer and project managers to ensure designs meet all mechanical requirements.
- Revise and Modify Designs: Make adjustments to designs based on feedback or changes in project scope, materials, or design constraints.
- Document Control: Maintain organized documentation of all drawings and design changes for future reference and project audits.
- Problem Solving: Identify issues and recommend modifications to improve the overall quality and performance.
- Site Visits: Conduct field/site visits to gather data, verify measurements, or ensure that designs are being implemented correctly during the construction phase.
- Quality Control: Review and ensure the accuracy of completed drawings before submission.
- Liaison with Contractors and Suppliers: Communicate with external contractors and suppliers to clarify technical aspects of designs when needed.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education:
- Degree in Drafting, Engineering Design, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience:
- Previous experience as an engineering draftsman/designer is preferred, but willing to train an individual entering the related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD and Revit).
- Understanding of mechanical construction methods preferred.
- Ability to interpret mechanical designs and technical specifications preferred.
- Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes preferred.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in drawing.
